CALGARY, Canada – Suncor Energy says it plans a $1-billion reduction in its capital spending program this year.
It plans to defer some capital projects that have not yet been sanctioned, including the White Rose extension offshoreNewfoundland & Labrador.
However, theHebron project in this region will move forward as planned, Suncor said. It views this as a long-term growth project that should deliver strong returns after it comes online in late 2017.
