LONDON – Tullow Oil says the deepwater Jubilee field offshore Ghana exceeded its production target last year, averaging 102,000 b/d of oil.
This was achieved despite restrictions due to delays in the onshore gas processing plant, built by Ghana National Gas Co. The latter is now complete, with first commissioninggas exported from the Jubilee field in November.
As the gas management constraint eases due to increasing gas exports, Tullow expects to increase oil production toward the FPSO’s full capacity.
Elsewhere offshore Ghana, the company adds, itsTEN development is more than 50% complete, within budget, and on-track to deliver first oil in mid-2016.
