Eni has signed two concession agreements with Egypt for offshore blocks North Leil and Karawan.

HOUSTON –Eni has signed two concession agreements with Egypt for offshore blocks North Leil and Karawan. Eni holds 100% of North Leil and 50% of Karawan with partner BP.
The two blocks, which will be operated by Eni’s subsidiary IEOC, are in the deepwater offshore of the Mediterranean, west of theShorouk block, which Eni acquired last year. North Leil and Karawan blocks cover areas of 5,105 and 4,565 sq km (1,971 and 1,763 sq mi), respectively.
