Tap provides Manora oil development update

Tap Oil Ltd. has provided an update on the Manora oil development in the northern Gulf of Thailand, in which TAP holds 30% interest.

WEST PERTH, Australia – Tap Oil Ltd. (ASX:TAP) has provided an update on the Manora oil development in the northern Gulf of Thailand, in which TAP holds 30% interest.

Mubadala Petroleum, operator of the Manora joint venture, advises that the first three development wells – MNA-01, MNA-02, and MNA-03 – have now been completed, and that production will begin from all three wells, resulting in a higher initial rate than forecast with two wells. Completion on MNA-05 has now begun.

Platform commissioning at Manora is under way with hook-up and commissioning nearin completion. Mubadala Petroleum says that production should now begin by mid-November.

The Manora A platform is located within the Gulf of Thailand in 46 m (151 ft) of water. The development drilling program calls for drilling and completion of 15 wells (10 producers and five injectors), with the program expected to take until the end of 1Q 2015.
