Deltamarin to work with Jurong on Libra FPSO conversion

Deltamarin has entered into a contract with Jurong Shipyard for basic engineering of the Petrobras-operated Libra FPSO.

TURKU, FinlandDeltamarin has entered into a contract with Jurong Shipyard for basic engineering of the Petrobras-operated Libra FPSO.

The Finnish contractor will be responsible for the marine part of the conversion of theNavion Norvegia shuttle tanker into an FPSO at Jurong Shipyard, on behalf of the Odebrecht/Teekay joint venture OOGTK Libra.

The completed vessel is due to start early well-test operations in late 2016 on the ultra-deepwater presalt Libra field in the Santos basin.

Deltamarin was also involved in the vessel’s outline design phase. The vessel will have an oil production capacity of 50,000 b/d and gas capacity of 4 MMcm/d.
