Technip awarded EPIC contract for Juniper field

BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC has awarded Technip an engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning lump-sum contract for the development of the Juniper project off the southeast coast of Trinidad.

PARISBP Trinidad and Tobago LLC has awarded Technip (Paris:TEC) an engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning lump-sum contract for the development of the Juniper project off the southeast coast of Trinidad.

The scope of work consists of design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, load out, and mechanical completion of 4,300-ton topsides that can process 590 MMcf/d of gas, and a 6,100-ton jacket.

The contract will also cover the design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transport, installation, and pre-commissioning of 5 off, 10-in.- and 8-in.-inside-diameter flexible flowlines; 26-in.-outside-diameter, 10-km (6-mi) concrete-coated rigid subsea pipeline; a diving campaign to support LNG train and field turnarounds; and a large number of subsea structures and tie-in spools. Additionally, it includes the transport and installation of client-supplied umbilicals, trees, and flying leads.

Technip's operating center in Houston will perform the overall design, detailed engineering, and project management. Offshore installation is scheduled for 2H 2016. Platform fabrication will be performed in Trinidad. The flexible pipes will be manufactured at Technip's Flexi France facility in Le Trait, France.

Technip’s S-Lay pipelay vessel, theG-1200, will install the rigid pipelines. Additional vessels from Technip's fleet will install the flexibles and umbilicals, and will also provide construction work support.
