HOUSTON – Atwood Oceanics Inc. reports the delivery of the Atwood Achiever from the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd. (DSME) shipyard in South Korea.
TheAtwood Achiever has begun the mobilization phase of its drilling services contract with Kosmos Energy. It is expected to arrive in northwest Africa in early December to conduct a three-year exploration drilling program.
The vessel is the second of four Atwood Oceanics “A-Class” ultra-deepwater drillships to be delivered from the DSME shipyard.
