LONDON – Impact Oil & Gas has signed three new license agreements with the government of Gabon covering three offshore blocks under the country’s 10th licensing round.
Blocks B7, D13, and D14 were awarded following a competitive bid process. Impact says it was the only small private company invited to participate in the round and to subsequently gain acreage. All the other bidders were large independents and majors.
OffshoreNamibia, the government has approved Impact’s application to increase its interest in block 2913B from 80% to 85%. Partners are state-owned NAMCOR with 10% and Namibian company Grisham (5%).
Impact is interpreting 2D seismic data acquired earlier this year over the block.
