TORSHAN, Faroe Islands --Initial testing from the second Blackbird field production well in the UK central North Sea has achieved sustained rates of over 7,000 b/d of oil. Production was constrained by surface equipment according to partner Atlantic Petroleum.
The NobleTon V Langeveld drilled the 20/02a-B3 well, operated by Nexen Petroleum UK.
The well will be tied into theAoka Mizu FPSO facilities and full production should start following a planned shutdown.
