GSP vessel sails to Prirazlomonoye in Russian Arctic

Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) has mobilized its construction vessel GSP Falcon to the Pechora Sea off northwest Russia for a 30-day program for Gazprom Neft Shelf.

CONSTANTA, Romania -- Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) has mobilized its construction vessel GSP Falcon to the Pechora Sea off northwest Russia for a 30-day program for Gazprom Neft Shelf.

The 153-m (502 ft.) long vessel will provide accommodation and personnel transfer services offshore Russia for 30 days during commissioning works on the Prirazlomnaya platform, with options for several extensions.

Previously the vessel performed subsea pipeline installations in the North Sea for Wintershall Noordzee, Perenco, and E.ON E&P UK.

ThePrirazlomnoye oil field, discovered in 1989 in the southeastern part of the Russian Barents Sea, came onstream last year via the ice-reinforced drilling and production platform.
