TEHRAN, Iran -- Petroiran Development Co. has completed its development program of the offshore Forouzan oil field which Iran shares with Saudi Arabia.

Mehdi Haji-Hosseinzadeh, an official of the company, told news service Shana that his company was responsible for designing, construction and installation of the FZ-Aprocessing platform, the FY-A living quarter platform, and the subsea pipeline.

Iranian Offshore Oil Co. assisted with pipelay operations.

Forouzan is 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Kharg Island. Production should double in 2016. The new facilities will export associated gas that would otherwise have been flared to Kharg Island.
