BOEM extends time for comments on next five-year lease plan

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has extended until Aug. 15 the public comment period for the Request for Information and Comments on the Preparation of the 2017-2022 Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program.

WASHIINGTON, D.C. –The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has extended until Aug. 15 the public comment period for the Request for Information and Comments on the Preparation of the 2017-2022 Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program.
Public involvement and extensive analysis will accompany all stages of the planning process, which will take up to three years to complete, said BOEM.
Using the information received from the RFI, BOEM will prepare aDraft Proposed Program, followed by a Proposed Program and a Proposed Final Program.
