OSLO, Norway ā Petroleum Geo-Services(PGS) plans to begin a multi-client 3D program in the Ceduna sub-basin offshore South Australia, using its GeoStreamer technology for broader bandwidth and deeper penetration.
The program, named āSpringboard,ā will see some 8,000 sq km (3,089 sq mi) of true broadband GeoStreamer data acquired, with plans to start acquisition in late 2014.
The Ceduna area has become a hot spot for exploration activity following recent gazettal round awards to major E&P companies, and it represents a massive and under-explored frontier area, with the Springboard survey area presently lacking any 3D seismic data.
The survey will be acquired using PGSāRamform Sovereign.Ā
