HOUSTON– ARKeX has launched its XField plug-in for the Petrel E&P software platform. XField enables seismic interpreters to analyze and seamlessly integrate potential field data (gravity, magnetic, and gravity gradiometry) alongside seismic data, says ARKeX.
Geological models can be generated with more accuracy and confidence than was previously possible, reducing exploration uncertainty, risk, and cost.
XField was developed to enable seismic interpreters to use gravity and magnetic data without requiring specialist training. The simple-to-use software is fully certified and integrated into Petrel, providing users with an improved geological understanding through the ability to build better, more comprehensive, de-risked geological models.
