    Antin buys control of UK North Sea pipeline

    BG Group has agreed to the sell its 62.78% interest in the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) gas pipeline in the UK North Sea and associated infrastructure to Antin Infrastructure Partners.

    READING, UK – BG Group has agreed to the sell its 62.78% interest in the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) gas pipeline in the UK North Sea and associated infrastructure to Antin Infrastructure Partners.

    Antin will pay $888 million and a deferred amount of $66 million. The sale does not impact BG Group’s rights to capacity in the system.

    CATS comprises a fixed-riser platform linked to theEverest oil and gas platform, a 404-km (251-mi), 1,700 MMcf/d subsea gas line to a two-train gas processing terminal with a capacity of 1,200 MMcf/d in Teesside, northeast England.
