COPENHAGEN, Denmark – The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has opened Denmark’s 7th licensing round.
Areas offered are in the Central Graben, where mostDanish North Sea fields have so far been discovered, and farther east, where oil discoveries were made following the 6th licensing round awards.
DEA’s assessments suggest large volumes of oil and gas remain to be discovered in these areas.
On behalf of the Danish state, Nordsøfonden will hold a 20% interest in any new licenses awarded. Proposed financial terms are identical to those applied in the 6th licensing round.
