BP has awarded the Saipem, Bos Shelf, and Star Gulf consortium a transportation/installation contract for the Shah Deniz Stage 2 development in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – BP has awarded the Saipem, Bos Shelf, and Star Gulf consortium a transportation/installation contract for the Shah Deniz Stage 2 development in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.
Shah Deniz is 90 km (56 mi) offshore, in water depths ranging from 75-550 m (246-1,804 ft).
The consortium’s work scope cover transportation and installation of jackets,topsides, subsea production systems, and subsea structures; laying more than 360 km (223 mi) of pipelines; diving support services; and upgrades of the pipelay barge Israfil Huseinov (PLBH), the DSV Tofiq Ismailov, and the Derrick Barge Azerbaijan.
All work is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
