VLISSINGEN, the Netherlands – Heerema Fabrication Group has skidded the 8,500-ton launch jacket for DONG Energy’s Hejre field platform onto a barge at the quayside in Vlissingen.
Technip commissioned the eight-leg jacket, which measures 60 x 35 x 85 m (197 x 115 x 279 ft). The 900-ton pre-drilling wellhead deck is expected to be loaded out in the first week of May, and will then sail to theHejre location in Danish North Sea for installation.
