OSLO, Norway – Fred. Olsen Energy has identified a need for structural upgrades of its semisubmersible BlackfordDolphin during a class renewal survey.
These should be completed at a total cost (including the survey) of $195 million.
Another of the company’ssemis, Borgholm Dolphin, has undergone repair and upgrades of its winches. It is expected to resume operations soon for Shell U.K.
The company’s Dolphin Drilling subsidiary has agreed with Petrobras to suspend operations of the semisubBorgny Dolphin next month. The rig will then be demobilized.
