ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands – Sea Trucks Grouphas received a contract award from INPEX Operations Australia Pty. Ltd. for the provision of flotel services for the Ichthys LNG project, located in the Browse basin about 200 km (124 mi) northwest of Western Australia’s Kimberley coast at the western edge of the Timor Sea.
The scope of work consists of providing accommodation support services for 200 people on board, including catering services. The offshore duration of the contract will be six months, starting from 4Q 2015, with options to extend.
Jascon 25, Sea Trucks’ nominated vessel for this project, will be connected to the Ichthys project’s floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel via its telescopic gangway 24 hours a day with the vessel continuously following the FPSO’s movements with its enhanced follow target system.
