Foster Wheeler awarded study for Snøhvit improvement project

Foster Wheeler AG reports that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Statoil Petroleum AS to perform a study for the Snøhvit Improvement Project 2 on the Norway island of Melkøya.

ZUG, Switzerland–Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq:FWLT) reports that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Statoil Petroleum AS to perform a study for the Snøhvit Improvement Project 2 on the Norway island of Melkøya.
The Foster Wheeler contract value was not disclosed. Foster Wheeler will define long-term solutions to achieve the Snøhvit partnership’s objectives of increasing the operating performance of the LNG facility and increasing the capacity and feed gas flexibility of the plant. This concept study is scheduled for completion in 3Q 2014.
