SHARJAH, UAE – Lamprell says all of its offshore construction projects are progressing.

The main focus now is on eight newbuild jackups at the fabricator’s Hamriyah facility; a major rig conversion project at the facility in Sharjah; and a production, utilities, and quarters deck project at the group’s Jebel Ali yard.

Order intake during 2013 was lower than in previous years due to delays in project awards, and the new management putting priorities on delivery of existing projects and re-positioning the business for a return to profitability.

However, Lamprell did secure large orders from its existing clients such asJindal Group and the Greatship Group and the rig conversion of the MOS Frontier.
