New COSL rig COSLHunter to start work for PEMEX in Gulf of Mexico

China Oilfield Services Ltd. (COSL) has received the new jackup rig COSLHunter for a contract in the Gulf of Mexico for PEMEX for a period of 5.5 years, starting 1Q 2014.

BEIJINGChina Oilfield Services Ltd. (COSL) has received the new jackup rig COSLHunterfor a contract in the Gulf of Mexico for PEMEX for a period of 5.5 years, starting 1Q 2014.

COSLHunter can operate at water depths of 375 ft (114 m) and drilling as much as 30,000 ft (9,144 m). It can accommodate 124 crew members, and has a variable load of 3,500 metric tonnes (3,858 tons).

COSL also operates and manages two jackup drilling rigs (COSLConfidenceand HYSY936), and four module rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
