Offshore staff
LONDON – Subsea contractor Ceona has agreed a three-year partnership contract with Pipeline Technique Ltd. (PTL). This includes offshore welding and pipeline production management on the new Ceona Amazon vessel, due to enter service in January 2015.
This is a multi-purpose construction vessel designed for laying rigid and flexible pipes, and heavy lifts.
PTL’s scope extends to onshore engineering and non-destructive testing of pipe on board the vessel. It will provide around 55 specialist welders to work on both carbon steel and exotic rigid pipes, with diameters ranging from 4 to 16 in.
