Leighton secures design contracts offshore Malaysia

Leighton Engineering has won work for four projects offshore Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Leighton Engineering has won work for four projects offshore Malaysia. Three are operated by Petronas Carigali.

Leighton’s scope includes:

  • Detailed design engineering services for the Baram BADP-B revisit project, with process topsides design to increase production from five new wells
  • Detailed engineering design and constructability study for installation of a new control room and deck extension for the Bekok - A and Tiong - A upgrade
  • Design verification services for the Sumandak Tepi development project, involving infill drilling and process topsides design optimization to increase oil production.

Additionally, Leighton has secured follow-on work for Kencana for theCendor Bridge which involves performing detailed engineering designs for completion of the Bridge Section 2 Redesign Works and an additional crane/slewing jib crane.
