HOUSTON – Endeavour International has completed a strategic review which started in February, and has decided to retain its UK North Sea interest.
“Endeavour has achieved several objectives that have improved the long-term value of its business, including completion ofBacchus, progression of Rochelle and continued process improvements at the Alba field,” said William L. Transier, chairman, CEO, and president.
The company will close its London office and consolidate its technical teams in Aberdeen. The move should lead to improved productivity and communications as well as cutting costs, Transier explained.
Derek Neilson, who joined Endeavour in 2008, has been promoted to managing director of UK Operations, reporting to Transier. Carl D. Grenz, former executive vice president of International Operations, has left the company.
Endeavour has an interest in the Rochelle field development in the central North Sea, which has been tied back to the modified Scott platform. First production is imminent.
