DUBLIN, Ireland – In the Black Sea offshore Bulgaria, Petroceltic International has tied back a new production well on the Kaliakra gas field to the Galata platform.
The jackupGSP Prometeu completed the well with a subsea wellhead, and the lay barge Big Foot 1 performed the connection to the existing Kaliakra pipeline for export via the Galata platform.
The new well has flow tested at rates of more than 12 MMcf/d (339,802 cm/d). Combined production from the Kaliakra, Galata, andKavarna fields is expected to stabilize at around 30 MMcf/d (849,505 cm/d). Petroceltic has a 100% interest in the fields and associated infrastructure.
