Kawasaki to construct hull for Petrobras drillship

Kawasaki Heavy Industries is to build hull components for a drillship for Estaleiro Enseada do Paraguacu (EEP) in Bahia state, Brazil.

TOKYO – Kawasaki Heavy Industries is to build hull components for a drillship for Estaleiro Enseada do Paraguacu (EEP) in Bahia state, Brazil.

The vessel is the first of six ordered bySete Brasil and will be chartered by Petrobras.

Following completion of the hull parts at Kawasaki’s Sakaide Shipyard in early 2015, they will be transported to EEP for installation of topside equipment, and delivered to the owner. This strategy was also agreed by the drillship owner.
