HOUSTON – Installation is complete of the West Rochelle field subsea pipeline infrastructure in the UK central North Sea.
Partner Endeavour says theWest Rochelle W-1 well is now connected to the Nexen-operated Scott platform. First production is expected in September following completion of annual maintenance at the platform.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Prospect has returned to the Rochelle field and started drilling the E-2 well at East Rochelle, which is due to come online in the fall.
At the Chevron-operatedAlba field, also in the central sector, the first of three planned development wells was completed in June and a second subsea well was drilled and completed over the past few days.
During Alba’s 28-day summer maintenance program, work will be conducted to address produced water and well-related issues. This is expected to lead to production improvements by year-end. Endeavour has a25.68% interest in the field.
