OMV outlines offshore exploration drilling plans

VIENNA, Austria – OMV expects exploratory drilling to restart around the turn of the year on the Neptun block in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea.

This follows interpretation of newly acquired 3D seismic data.

Offshore Norway, OMV expects to spud three potentially high-impact wells later this year on theBonna, Wisting Central, and Wisting Main prospects in the Barents Sea. It will also drill the Matuku prospect in the Taranaki basin offshore New Zealand.
