TRIESTE, Italy – Shipbuilding specialist Fincantieri has signed a framework agreement with the Krylov State Research Center of Russia to jointly develop technological innovations.
The agreement, which has an initial five-year term, calls for joint R&D activities, development of new-generation products, and provision of services.
Fincantieri expects to benefit from the Krylov Center’s knowledge of advanced-technology vessels and offshore engineering structures. In exchange it will provide the center with access to its own technological and manufacturing knowledge base in constructing and marketing complexvessels and rigs for offshore and marine use.
