HOUSTON –Baker Hughes has held its first ever STEM Event for high school students.
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) meeting invited 22 students to the Baker Hughes drill bit manufacturing facility in The Woodlands to learn about careers in the oil and gas industry and to tour the facility.
The event was sponsored by the North America Women’s Resource Group and the Baker Hughes Diversity and Inclusion organization. The event was the first in what Shelly Cory, Baker Hughes Strategic Integration project manager, says is a continuing effort to introduce students to the prospects of working in the oil and gas arena.
