MIDDLESBROUGH, UK – GDF Suez has awarded Unasys a contract for work on the Cygnus gas field development in the UK southern North Sea.
Unasys will supply its ePM completions management software to manage construction close-out, commissioning, and start-up of all project facilities.
Engineering for the project is being performed in London, with fabrication of theplatforms under way at Methil in Scotland and Hartlepool, northeast England. The facilities are due to be transported offshore for installation in 2015.
Cygnus is in blocks 44/12a and 44/11a in 23 m (75 ft) of water.
