Offshore staff
LONDON – Final platform installation work started last month on the Premier-operated Anoa Phase 4 project in Natuna Sea block A offshore Indonesia.
The facility is expected to be fully commissioned by September, but first gas should come in at the end of this month. The development will commercialize about 200 bcf (5.7 bcm) of reserves in theAnoa field.
Premier expects its other current offshore Indonesian developments, Pelikan and Naga, to come onstream in 2014. Pipelay in both cases finished in June and the wellhead platforms are due to be installed this quarter.
On the Dua field offshore southern Vietnam, drilling will start this fall of a three-well subsea tieback to the Chim Sao production facilities. Two of the wells are expected to be completed by year-end.
Next year Premier has plans to drill about 12 exploration wells, of which at least four could be high impact. They include two wells offshore Kenya; at least one on Natuna Sea block A targeting the Lama play tested successfully drilled by the Anoa Deep well in 2011; and the Myrhauk prospect on the eastern margin of the Mandal High in the Norwegian central North Sea.
In the southern hemisphere the company continues prospect maturation ahead of a next phase of exploration drilling on its acreage in theNorth Falklands basin. It is preparing a program of seismic acquisition over three blocks awarded in May under Brazil’s 11th licensing round.
