WINDSOR, UK – Centrica has updated its offshore the UK and Norway E&P programs.
In the UK sector, the company delivered first gas from theYork and Rhyl fields earlier this year. A second well has since come online at York and a further well is being drilled.
In the Greater Markham hub on the Dutch/UK median line, first gas from the Kew field is scheduled by end-2013, subject to rig availability. Additionally, the company has sanctioned a side track development well at Grove, which is expected to produce first gas in 2014.
In exploration and appraisal, drilling at theRodriguez well offshore Norway in January confirmed the presence of gas condensate, while drilling at Whitehaven in the East Irish Sea in February confirmed a satellite field adjacent to the Rhyl reservoir.
Last month, Centrica was awarded a 50% operating share in the Scarecrow prospect, its first license in the Barents Sea, underNorway’s 22nd licensing round.
