Xodus wins first offshore Middle East pipeline work

Xodus Group has won two offshore contracts in the Middle East from Abu Dhabi-based Valentine Maritime (Gulf).

ABERDEEN, UK – Xodus Group has won two offshore contracts in the Middle East from Abu Dhabi-based Valentine Maritime (Gulf).
The first involves design of new subsea pipelines off the northeast coast of Qatar in theNorth gas field. This will be the first subsea project managed by Xodus’ operation in Dubai, which was established last October.
Scope comprises detailed design of a new 6.4-km (4-mi) long 24-in. water injection pipeline including risers and two J-tubes. The project is due for completion by end-2013.
The other contract covers detailed engineering for Valentine for pipelines to be installed this year on Dubai Petroleum Establishment’s offshore Fateh field.
Xodus’s scope covers:
30-in. diameter x 6.7-km (4.2-mi) subsea oil pipeline including new risers and tie-ins
30-in. x 4-km (2.5-mi) subsea oil pipeline including new risers and tie-ins
16-in. x 6-km (3.7-mi) subsea water injection pipeline including new risers and tie-ins.
