TGT field offshore Vietnam begins new exploration phase

LONDON – The jackup Naga-2 has spudded an exploration well on the H5 fault block of the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field offshore southern Vietnam.
According to partner SOCO International, TGT-10X is being drilled in block 16-1, 6 km (3.7 mi) south of theH4 wellhead platform in the southern part of the field in the Cuu Long basin.
Drilling is expected to take 25-30 days, with a planned depth of about 4,400 m (14,435 ft) below mean sea level. Three more wells are expected to follow later this year on the field using the same rig.
