Offshore staff
VIENNA, Austria – OMV and partners Total and Repsol have completed procurement for a seismic exploration program offshore Bulgaria.
The 7,740-sq km (2,988-sq mi) 3D seismic survey over the 1-21 Han-Asparuh block was due to start earlier this week. The block is in the deep offshore and covers an area of 14,220 sq km (5,490 sq mi) in water depths up to 2,200 m (7,218 ft).
Jaap Huijskes, responsible for exploration and production at OMV, said the seismic campaign will assist definition of drilling locations for two planned exploration wells.
