ABERDEEN, UK – Xodus Group has won a $1.98-million contract to provide subsea front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Premier-operated Catcher development in the UK central North Sea.
Work will be divided into two phases. Phase 1 will involve a review of previous and current studies, preliminary process flow diagrams, and investigative work to identify structural functional requirements.
Under Phase 2, Xodus will develop and engineer field and subsea architecture, flow assurance processes, subsea control systems, pipelines and tie-ins, and provide technical safety and risk support.
Catcher, in block 28/9, is one of the UK’s larger North Sea oil discoveries in recent years. Xodus will assist in the FEED for the three riser systems planned for each of the wells, to allow production via a subsea tieback to a floating production system.
