Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK – Teekay has extended Wood Group PSN’s contract to provide duty holder and asset management services to the Hummingbird Spirit FPSO in the UK central North Sea.
Wood Group has held this role on theChestnut field since the floater was commissioned in 2008, and will continue to do so until end-2013, with an option to extend until March 2015. The extension option is valued at $87 million.
Wood Group says the new contract means close to 100 UK jobs will be retained, primarily offshore. The company also has the duty holder contract for Ithaca Energy’sBeatrice offshore platform in the Outer Moray Firth and the Nigg onshore terminal in eastern Scotland.
