TEL AVIV, Israel – Noble Energy and its block 12 partners have agreed to drill the Aphrodite #2 appraisal well offshore Cyprus.
The well on the gas discovery is part of a work plan approved by the Cypriot government under theblock 12 production-sharing contract. Partner Derek Drilling said the budget for the well, which may be retained post-drilling for use as a future producer, is $117 million.
Drilling is expected to start soon and last around four months, with an expected depth of about 1,750 m (5,741 ft).
