Chevron extends North Sea maintenance contract

Chevron Upstream Europe has awarded Bilfinger Salamis UK a $77-million contract for maintenance services on various UK North Sea installations.

MUNICH Germany – Chevron Upstream Europe has awarded Bilfinger Salamis UK a $77-million contract for maintenance services on various UK North Sea installations.

The two companies have been working together in the North Sea for 12 years – the latest award runs for three years with two additional renewal options.

Bilfinger Salamis will provide services on the Alba North platform, the Alba FSU, the Captain wellhead/production platform, the Captain FPSO, and the Erskine platform. These will include supply of deck crews, rigging, coatings and insulation work, scaffolding, rope access, specialist cleaning, and architectural services.

Last year, Bilfinger Salamis worked closely with Chevron to refurbish accommodation on the Captain FPSO and on annual platform turnarounds.
