All South Pars Phase 19 jackets in place offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran – The final jacket has been installed at the South Pars Phase 19 development in the Persian Gulf in 72 m (236 ft) water depth.
According to Iranian news service Shana, this was the largest of the Phase 19 jackets. The six-leg structure is 81 m (266 ft) high, weighs 3,200 tons, and was designed and built by Iranian contractors.
Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) has developed Phase 19 with four main and satellite platforms, and is expected to deliver 56.5 MMcm/d (2 bcf/d) of gas.
Now that the platform B jacket has been installed, a third drilling rig can start operations to speed development drilling. Currently one rig is in operation, while a second rig is due to start work on the first of five wells soon. Eventually 21 wells will be drilled.
