HOUSTON – The Marine Well Containment Co. will house its subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) equipment at Mobile, Alabama. MWCC has contracted Techip USA and Core Industries to store, maintain, and test the equipment.
MWCC’s expanded system is scheduled for delivery starting later this year, and will advance the company’sdeepwater well containmenttechnology and capabilities. The ECS will be able to cap and flow a well in up to 10,000 ft (3,048 m) water depth and will have the capacity to contain up to 100,000 b/d of liquid.
MWCC will be moving all its SURF equipment to Mobile.
