CGG to assess reservoir performance of two fields offshore Norway

Statoil (OSE:STL) has awarded CGG (NYSE:CGG) two contracts for long-term seismic imaging services in the Norwegian North Sea.

PARIS – Statoil (OSE:STL) has awarded CGG (NYSE:CGG) two contracts for long-term seismic imaging services in the Norwegian North Sea.
CGG will providepermanent reservoir monitoring (PRM) operations on the Snorre and Grane fields, including acquisition QC services.
In both cases the contracts are for an initial fixed term of four years, with an option for two further two-year extensions. The first survey is due to start on Snorre on Oct. 1.
CGG will establish PRM dedicated processing centers in Statoil’s offices at Stavanger and Bergen in Norway, allowing its specialists to work in close collaboration with Statoil’s Snorre and Grane asset teams.
