MOSCOW – Gazprom’s Management Committee has approved the investment rationale for a new LNG plant near Vladivostok in the far east of Russia.
This will be built on the Lomonosov Peninsula on Perevoznaya Bay. The plant will have three process trains, each with an annual capacity of 5 MM tons of LNG, with the first train expected to come onstream in 2018.
Gas will be supplied from fieldsoffshore Sakhalin, and from the Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers. Target customers are in the Asia/Pacific region.
