Offshore staff
LONDON –Gas has begun to flow from Berantai field offshore Malaysia for operator Petrofac. Petrofac is working under a risk services contract alongside SapuraKencana Petroleum for Petronas.
Berantai is 150 km (93 mi) offshore Peninsular Malaysia, 10 km (6 mi) south of Tapis field, and 30 km (18.5 mi) northeast of Angsi field.
The development comprises a wellhead platform connected to the FPSOBerantai. Gas is exported by a 30 km subsea pipeline to the Petronas Carigali-operated Angsi field and onwards into the Peninsular Malaysian gas grid.
