Saipem to install Filanovsky offshore platforms and infrastructure in the Caspian Sea

LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft has contracted Saipem to transport and install production facilities related to the Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

MOSCOW -- LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft has contracted Saipem to transport and install production facilities related to the Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

The contract covers delivery and installation of anice-resistant fixed platform (IRFP-1), a central processing platform (CPP), riser block platforms (RB), and a living quarters module (LQM-1), all connected via catwalk bridges.

Operations will be performed between March and September of 2013 and 2014.

The IRFP-1 is designed for drilling and operation of wells, the CPP for processing and piping ashore of oil and associated gas, and the RBs to connect infield pipelines with export pipelines. The LQM-1 is designed to accommodate up to 125 persons.

ОАО Obyedinyonnaya Sudostroitelnaya Korporatsiya (United Shipbuilding Corp.) is building IRFP-1, ОАО Globalstroy-Engineering the CPP, and Krasnye Barrikady shipyard the other platforms and module.

Lukoil estimates С1+С2 recoverable oil reserves at V. Filanovsky at 153.1 million tons, and category С1+C2 gas reserves at 32.2 bcm (1.137 tcf). The field is due to be commissioned in 2015.
