NEW ORLEANS –The Deepwater HorizonFederal On-Scene Coordinator has approved a plan from BP and Transocean to identify the source of a sheen in the Gulf of Mexico associated with oil from Macondo.
The plan calls for satellite observations and ROV examination of the original well area to start this week. The ROV work will look at the wreckage, debris, and riser on the seabed.
