SANDNES, Norway -- Eni Norge has contracted Champion Technologies to supply production chemicals and associated technical services for the Goliat development in the Barents Sea.
The contract, worth over $5.5 million/yr, runs to end-2016 with an option to extend by a further two years.
Goliat is the first oil field to bedeveloped in the Barents Sea, and is scheduled to come onstream in 2014 via an FPSO with an anticipated field life of over 15 years.
